When I was young, putting metal in a microwave was a recipe for disaster.
When I was in my teen years, putting metal in a microwave was a recipe for disaster.
When I was in my twenties and thirties, putting metal in a microwave was a recipe for disaster.
When I was in my forties and fifties, putting metal in a microwave was a recipe for disaster.
When I was in my sixties and seventies, putting metal in a microwave was a recipe for disaster.
Now that I am in my eighties, my microwave still has a sticker telling me not to put metal into it.
Can I conclude this jamoke is an illiterate fatherless son of illiterate parents?

I’ve never seen foil wrapping from Taco Bell. Arby’s and Wendy’s both have some foil in their wrappers I think Burrito's are usually wrapped in foil.

I would not micro metals for that exact reason.......all micros are different.
Some micros heat at very high temps.......some at lower temps.
And you really dont know what other variables are or
what kind of materials are inside that could be dangerous.

The problem is all the advanced science / physics that we demand Americans master..

Besides death and taxes, we will never run out of stupid people.
First, this person stupidly put aluminum foil in a microwave.
Second, this person stupidly assaults the employee.

Taco Bell has ruined my toilet on more than one occasion (you’d think I’d learn) but never my microwave.

You’ve always have to be aware that those left-wing climate change believers out there will continue to demonstrate their lack of any technical knowledge, even when limited to using their microwave ovens.

I’ve seen aluminum foil used in the micro, but you gotta follow the rules. And like your metal rack, notice it’s not touching the sides. Very important!

Another stupid fool with a bad temper.

Long ago I worked in a bakery, they had assembly line workers but I was at the end where I distributed the bread to the trucks. I had to do some simple math and use some intelligence but many assembly line workers did not need to be very skilled. That doesn't mean they were bad people, I'm just saying that some of the jobs were super simple.
This one assembly guy complained to me that the others wouldn't let him use the microwave in the break room and he didn't know why. Asking around, I found out he had ruined several microwaves by putting foil-wrapped food in. They tried many times to explain to him not to do that and failed, finally banning him from the microwave.
What was interesting to me was that he still didn't know why, even after they explained numerous times and finally banned him. Also that despite this lack of discernment, he could still work a job and make a good wage.
A year or so after I stopped working there I heard the bakery got shut down due to union problems.

You're correct. You absolutely can put metal in a working microwave oven if it's the right type of metal.
