Big deal.

It's called Passive Target Motion Analysis. We were doing it by hand on paper in the late 1970s. It solves the same problem as the Torpedo Data Computer did on US submarines in WW2.

The AN/SLQ-32v1 passive Electronic Warfare suite was doing this electronically, and automatically, when we had it installed in 1980.

This passive Chinese system is useless against ships in EMCON. EMCON is like airplane mode on your cell phone.
