Fortunately, my first concern was for his weakness, not the illness. He wasn't that desperately sick. We were surprised to find out he had covid. If he had been sicker, and if the admitting dr seemed to have an agenda (he didn't care one way or the other about remdesavir) I would have been on the phone to our family physician, who is a personal friend. And I wouldn't be opposed to yanking him out against recommendations. I really wanted to give him ivermectin, but because he requires blood thinners for another few months, I couldn't.
I appreciate the context. Makes sense.
The feral physicians are still on the take, for hospital privileges. No IVM, though. And, except for Senator Grassley, I don’t really hear anywhere about AB infusions in the hospital. Maybe it’s because most know how to how to best prevent the virals and rely on a real doctor, by tele-med, to pour on the IVM, Arythmycin, Zinc, etc.
