Growing up in Hawaii in the 70's. You'd see these folks down on Hotel Street or on Kalakaua Ave. Big beefy dudes with a beehive wig and just a hint of a 5 o'clock shadow...

Yup. I used to change busses on Hotel Street in the late 70s. Saw them, knew about them. Yuck then, yuck now.
