What you describe is already being used by the Russians and by the Ukraine forces. Both sides keep improving those weapons every month. That is a major reason why the casualties appear to be so high on all sides.

The Generals (or more likely, the Colonels and Lieutenants) will need to come up with entirely new tactics to deal the new technology that is available.

The incompetent wokesters now being promoted in our military forces on the basis of "Diversity, Inclusivity, and Equity" are not the people who are going to do any of that. We had best stay out of any major wars until they can be purged.
