You missed the entire point of my post. It was to rebut Putin’s claim that one of his professed reasons for invading Ukraine was to “de-nazify” Ukraine. It’s irrelevant what political stripe they were (and I agree with you; Nazis were socialists, or leftists). The point is that the claim of “de-nazifying” Ukraine was BS, and was made only for domestic consumption; and had no attachment to reality.

The Russians have zero love for so called NAZI's. Which is in Putin's best interest to NOT de-nazifying” Ukraine. In order to rally his people and Troops. Though Putin would make a show of de-nazifying” Ukraine. So I have to agree with this point you're making.
