Regarding UW & UO joining the BIG10, it sucks for the fans & tradition, it is of course all about the almighty $$$.

Not going to have many UW fans traveling to Ann Arbor for away games or UM fans traveling to Seattle.

But it will be interesting to see how 2 PAC12 teams meld into the BIG10.

BTW, how many teams are in the BIG 10 now? I know it's more than 10.

You might recall that USC and UCLA are also joining the Big 10. And I think this is stupid. USC will no longer play our traditional rivals Stanford, which we first played when Teddy Roosevelt was in the White House, and Cal, which we have played regularly since WWI. Except for UCLA, none of our Big 10 away games will be within easy driving distance, and the Maryland game will be on the other side of the continent.

14, they just never bothered to change the name......LOL!

In 2024, 4 more teams will be added, making it the big 18....

There are 14 teams in the Big 10 right now, soon to balloon to 18. Haven’t heard from a single person that likes this, clearly the only entities that do are the TV/broadcast people and the scum NCAA. Most college games in this part of the country kickoff is at noon as night games are not common.

On a related note I miss the old days with Keith Jackson doing the play-by-play on ABC, the Goodyear blimps, the hokey baton twirlers, cheerleaders and all that gone for good.

Another rant is these scum TV people have a monopoly these days, so much for the audience. Had to buy a $55 “subscription” for a month to watch a single game, ‘cutting the cord’ was good for almost a decade now but no more as the same thing has happened in the streaming era as we are subsidizing the MSM channels and all the old filler crap the same as before.
