In sum, I’m not worried about changing the collective mind of the Left. They will be evil idiots no matter what.
But we should not give them fuel for motivation by acting like nitwits who live in the past.
I worry about the battle for the middle - the swing states. Not to kowtow to them nor water down our message. We have to make OUR message more appealing to the middle than the Left’s message.
It's rigged.
Just know that the people who voted for Trump did so because he fought back. Many on the right are tired of the milquetoast Republican "high road" weakness that always gives the left a "free kick" on the right, and when we demand a response in-kind we're told it's "whataboutism" or it will "motivate the left" or "they're just trying to drive us into the gutter."
It doesn't work to be seen as weak; it doesn't work to only reach out with the olive branch, the "positive message." We need a good jab followed by a right-cross, too, or we won't be taken seriously.
