Wow! Ninety-seven is a good run. RIP Shecky Greene. I seem to remember he also had a racehorse named after him too.

Saw him during my first and second to last trip to Las Vegas in 1979, he put on a great show. Rest in Peace, Shecky Greene.

Merv Griffin. The subject was starving in India. “Send them cigarettes” he said. Tobacco curbs the appetite.
To: Borges
Had a great role in “History of the World Part I”.
One of my favorite jokes he told is that Frank Sinatra saved his life once.
Two guys were beating him up and then Frank walked up and said “Ok, That’s Enough!”
His HBO special from the 70s is one reason I wish they would release those specials somewhere. His show, along with Frank Gorshin’s and Myron Cohen’s were the top of 70s humor.
To: Borges
I thought he had died some years ago. Maybe I was thinking of Jackie Mason.

A drunk was in front of a judge. The judge says, “You’ve been brought here for drinking.”
The drunk says, “Okay, let’s get started.”

The entertainer was also married to Polynesian dancer Nalani Kele from 1972-‘82. I would have loved to hear the jokes he got out of that.

“The third one charged in one hour but that was a full hour wasted.”
So in terms dollars for an equivalent fill up with gas, what was the price per gallon to “fill er up”
