Apparently the Ex Husband and federal judge was not alleged to be a fellow sex abuser and had been in process of divorcing his wife over adultery issues. The Child predator charges were a shock to him and he acted to try and get his daughters away from the mother.
Yeah I guess they probably had to look into the poor Judge “just to make sure”. That must have been horrible to go through that!

I didn’t look to see who appointed him but I’ll reckon he judges like a regular liberal but I’ll give the benefit of the doubt on the “sexual predator stuff”.
