My wife and I have her parent’s International Harvester refrigerator that they purchased when they were married in 1955.
Still works and today it serves as our beer refrigerator downstairs.

If these moron regulators had a clue, they’d concentrate on requiring longer life, repairable machines versus overcomplicated stuff to meet extreme “efficiency” standards that result in the machine getting tossed out every several years.
