Maybe so. But one thing for sure. While they are waiving and saying hi in the back of their minds you are still an immediate threat and they are at the ready and figuring on how long it will take them to draw and fire on you. It is built in and there is no way to prevent it.

When I go out I consider everyone a threat. I sit with my back to a wall in a restaurant or with a clear view. My friends do the same and if we’re together somewhere the one with the view will just say I got your back.
Situational awareness is key to survival and I/we can respond accordingly.
