My opinion. This situation was handled poorly by the police involved. The shooting was not called for from what I saw.
The situation could have been de-escalated by ordering the woman to drop the knife. Very sad.
But would she have dropped it or just stabbed her boy friend.

It looks as though the woman was not close to the cop.
If it was her ex-BF wielding the knife, I don’t think there would be any controversy.
