Liberalism, as defined as personal freedom and personal responsibility died in the 1920’s, under Woodrow Wilson, when the progressives stole the word and made it their own.
Liberalism = progressivism/leftism/socialism
Trying to maintain a definition of a word, that was a applicable 100 years ago is aiding and abetting the leftism agenda by keepiong people confused. I will not do that people, so I will not equate liberalism with its dictionary definition.

Teddy split the Republican progressive wing off from Taft and that resulted in Woodrow Wilson’s election.
