“Residents affected by the attack today turned on the lights decorating the Christmas tree standing in the very centre of the wrecked inner courtyard of some high-rise buildings.
Only our people, only Ukrainians, have such a thirst for life and the victory of light over darkness! Light will prevail! Life will prevail!”, the service said.
BACKGROUND:
-A Russian missile hit an apartment building in Odessa during a large-scale Russian attack on 29 December. It destroyed the apartments from the 1st to the 4th floors, and set them on fire. Two people died and 10 were injured, including two children, in the attack.
-On 29 December, the Russians also attacked other Ukrainian cities: Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Lviv, and others. The targets were civilian: residential high-rise buildings, schools, kindergartens and warehouses.
-26 Ukrainians were killed and more than 120 people were injured in the large-scale bombardment on the morning of 29 December, the Office of the President has reported.

I think the MIC is shifting focus to the Middle East. The Houthis more resemble the type of hapless enemy that the Globohomo Empire thinks it can take on.

Again, for the umpteenth time, it’s Russia, not “Ruzzia”. Quit with the “Ruzzia”, ok? Deliberate misspelling is not helping your cause.
No one here is on Russia’s side. We just don’t want to get dragged into a bottomless pit and the corruption in Ukraine works against it. The US has to defend itself also and has its own problems which further complicates the matter.

Russia is advancing all along the front and Ukrainian forces are falling back after suffering heavy casualties. Ukraine is losing troops it has no realistic means of replacing. Russia, by contrast, is surging the size of its army and is not a victim of a war of attrition. Russia is the causing the attrition.
The lack of artillery ammunition on the part of Ukraine and the inability of the West to supply amounts that match what Russia is firing on a daily basis means that Ukraine, not Russia, is the one being battered.
Unlike Ukraine, which has been snatching men of all ages from the streets of Ukrainian cities and forcing them to the front with minimal training, Russia has enlisted almost 500,000 new soldiers in 2023. These new recruits are not being rushed into combat. They are going through the full regimen of training.
Ukraine has lost 50% of its population to emigration and war casualties. It has lost the Donbas, which is a rich region in terms of natural resources and industrial capacity. Ukraine has no path forward as a viable, strong country
Regarding fires - by 16-30 all fires after arrivals were eliminated. A total of 10 pieces were extinguished. The consequences are being eliminated.
The missile alert in Belgorod has been cancelled.
RIA Novosti reported that the official death toll increased to 6 people, 24 were injured.
Ukraine can't win on the battlefield so they resort to killing innocent women and children with US made weapons.
