Who’s claiming this is climate change result?

The waves at Malibu, not the high tide backwash.

A tsunami wave out on the ocean is less than a foot.
It’s when it rolls up the shore that height amplifies.
Regular waves are not that different depending on the shore profile.

I worked at surfline.com for many years. The photo belo shows no 12-17 foot waves. The back wash and high tides show big splashes. Granted there was big surf up and down the coast but the photographer was a day late( Friday) not Thursday. If it was 12-17 feet at Malibu that pier would have been wrecked:

Anybody else have trouble with Daily Mail links. It takes forever to come up and then it has trouble moving down page. When I see a post is from Daily Mail, I’ve started passing it up, even though I might be interested.

Fwiw Redondo Beach pier was open yesterday . Waves occasionally went over the nearby breakwater. Beautiful but crisp day.

I lived in duplex on beach in Venice. Wonder if it’d been water swamped? It was by the boardwalk.

I spent some time at Redondo Beach a few years ago. The better surfers all knew when the ideal big rollers were coming in. If there is a bunch of wind blown choppy water, that is no good.

LOL never did that but we drove golf balls at surfers once. Game was over when we actually hit a guy. Fun was over:>)

I haven’t had this problem. It sounds like a browser problem, maybe try another browser and see what happens.
