I switched all my tools over to cordless. I don’t use them as much to warrant gas versions, plus I don’t mind not smelling like gas / gas and oil after using them.
Ever since I used to go to the drags in Irwindale as a kid....I never had a problem with the smell of gas and oil and burnt rubber. And now in Texas......I love my gas lawnmower. The power gets through that tough grass and mulches those leaves with no problema. Not sure an Electic mower could do it, especially if I miss a couple of weeks.......it’s thick.
Another virtue signaler.
I maintain and groom an acre lot. I’ve tried all manner
and sorts of battery powered lawn/yard equipment. A
minimum of three batteries fully charged for each to
accomish what one small tank of gas for each can get
done in half the time.
Walk an acre to the garage to grab a fully charged
battery, plug in the dead one. I guess it’s great
exercise, but I’d rather go fishing.
Merits of one over the other aren’t the issue.
The issue is Deep State telling you which one you’ll use.
You okay with that...?
Gee, that’s really helpful
That’s fine, but are you going to have enough electricty to charge those batteries?
