Well, in your case it doesn’t make sense. You figured out what you need to do what you need to get done. I have no problem with that. For what I need to do, I was able to shift to cordless.

Not sure what you mean. If we lose electricity like in a grid down scenario? That same scenario shuts down all the typical modern gas pumps and electronic pymt methods too.

The Peoples Republic of Minnesota has also outlawed gas lawnmowers, leaf blowers, chainsaws and (gasp) hockey rink Zamboni machines. I expect that some enterprising individuals will be smuggling chainsaws, lawnmowers and other small gas appliances from neighboring states and selling them in back alleys out of unmarked trucks.

I really meant when your state has rolling blackouts from not being able to supply electricity to everyone. Then you will be in no better shape than those that can’t use a gas powered mower.

>>>Won’t affect “us” ... they keep forgetting about flyover country ... we use gas for lawn mowers and blowers, etc. And there are MORE of us than libs in California.>>>

And all the people said.....AMEN!

Well, I sure hope you’re right and that those polls are reflected in the november election, but I’m not holding my breath. Most of the people leaving tend to be conservatives.

I don’t buy things looking at me being better off or worse off whether I can get something gas or cordless. I’m a light tool user and in terms of maintenance and convenience, I gradually replaced my gas tools with cordless. Not everyone can do that because they have different needs and circumstances than I have. My buddy has a slew of nice Stihl chainsaws and he needs those for what he has to take care of. To me its more sizing up needs and picking the best tools to meet the needs.

Me too! I have plenty of gas operated machines since I live on 22 acres, mostly wooded, except for 4 acres of grass that I mow. I have about 10 gas operated tools/machines and probably about 15 cordless tools. I love them all and would not like to be witout any of them.

“Interesting. How long will it last before the battery dies? I’m not opposed to electric mower, just wasn’t sure if it had the power”

I’m still on the original 60 volt 5 amp battery that came with the mower in 2018. I have about 3300 sq ft of lawn and I can still get through it without having to recharge. I’m sure I have lost some capacity, I just don’t know how to quantify it.

The quality of the motor, blade condition and how long you wait between mowings (grass height) all plays into it.
