Pretty sure if you avoid the everglades and other bodies of water where they are frequently found I think she’ll be OK.
However, if seeing this is what it takes to stem the tide of refugees pouring into the state let’s post it far and wide! 😂
We have vacationed in Florida, but never considered moving there. Our experiences with the people, weather, and fauna have been perfectly pleasant.
I lived in a town near the Everglades. One morning, there was an alligator in our pool. We called animal control and it got it out, drove it back to the Glades. Knew exactly what they were doing.
I\\If you live near the Glades, DO NOT let your cat out at night. Gators eat them.
No, not really. Pythons and alligators and wild/feral pigs are found all over Central Florida from Miami north to the Tampa-Orlando-Daytona Beach line. And quite a few north of there too!
It is frustrating, calling your boss in the morning: “I’m going to be bit late. The pig in front of me on the road doesn’t want to move yet. And he’s bigger than my rental car.”
Or seeing a dead python by the median. Big around as a telephone pole.
