Is anyone else watching the Rose Bowl Parade? I am watching it live on the Rodeo Channel, where they show everything without any commercial breaks and something happened on the Elks float and it looked like a veteran collapsed RIGHT AT the point in the parade where it turns in front of the stadium seating and cameras. I saw him go down and another vet holding on to him. Did anyone else see that or know what happened? They cut the camera quickly and when the announcers came back on, one of them said, “It looks like one of the veterans had been on the float too long.” Then there was a very long pause where they focused on a San Diego marching band with no commentary, and then a cut to one of only two commercials in the whole broadcast.
When they came back on, the two lady announcers seemed rattled. They said something about an incident that had caused the parade to be paused, and then continued with the broadcast. I hope the man was okay, but something tells me that might not be the case.
