At this point, that would probably take the National Guard. And I don’t think even Trump would be bold enough to take that step.
Perhaps the only way out would be to cut all migrant benefits permanently, then pay them to return home. I could see Trump trying that.
That's the way Oklahoma did it several years ago. They passed state laws that made it illegal to hire, transport, house, and educate illegals. When they did this, an estimated 34k illegals left the Tulsa area alone. We own a farm in NW Oklahoma, and I remember getting a letter from the state comptroller's office explaining that our state taxes went down as a direct result of not having to fund illegals. Over the years, some illegals have crept back in, but it is a noticeable decrease over what it was.
You are right, Obama deported more people than Trump did. Trump failed entirely on deporting people.
