You probably have one of the better answers I’ve seen on here.

“Does anyone see what young Americans eat?”

Doubtful if food has anything to do with it.

I think diet has something to do with it. I think it’s probably THE cause. What’s in the food they eat? Or the drinks they drink?

I can’t believe I read almost 40 posts without someone saying the obvious.

Gee, I wonder what it could be? Was there some large influx of experimental chemicals injected into a large part of the young population? Hmm, what could it be?

Crazy that Freepers start blaming America’s horrible diet, which has been horrible for decades, instead of the giant, red elephant staring us in the face.

Within two weeks of the jab I was in the hospital with heart problems. A full series of tests from a well known cardiologist revealed ZERO heart disease.

My wife developed breast cancer. Her genetic screening from the premier cancer hospital in the world showed ZERO genetic predisposition for cancer.

This subject gets up my dander and people who say it’s just coincidence can kiss my grits. I will never believe anything they say in the future. /rant

This isn't normal.

This is.

There is a cultural problem in this country, but it is not unique to the US.

Please Stop The Normalization Of Obesity
In a country where obesity plagues millions, some people are celebrating this health hazard as a new trend.

https://www.theodysseyonline.com/stop-normalization-obesity

But it’s not isolated to obesity: The normalization of impaired health has created multiple generations who believe it’s normal to consume manufactured/highly-processed foods, replace water with sugar/chemical-laden products, require health insurance, visit doctors regularly, take drugs for a variety of maladies, and that it’s normal to consume excess calories and engage in activity to burn off said calories.

I believe that I know the root cause and I analyze it in my book, which I paused to publish for a total rewrite on the basis of revelations gleaned during pre-publishing outreach.

What I learned initially caused me to recoil at publishing at all, but the irony is that the books have taken a decidedly Conservative tone and I now believe that the powers that be have adopted this health matter among their tools encompassed with Cloward Piven.

Evidence:

Deconstructing Obesity: A New Perspective
Mounting evidence suggests a link to threat load.

https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/deconstructing-illness/202302/deconstructing-obesity-a-new-perspective

Money quote:

“The best strategy to use against obesity may be to reduce actual threat and increase safety within the U.S. and the world—provide clean air, water, and soil to grow whole, unprocessed foods and nourish people; educational and job opportunities to re-enfranchise the forgotten and discriminated against; a social safety net below which no one can fall, with child care, elder care, health care, basic income, and secure housing. Peace on earth would be nice, too.”

That’s from an MD. Modern medicine collectively violated its Hippocratic Oath decades ago.

Translated: Government is here to help because you’re too dumb to keep yourself healthy & safe.

Yeah, right. /s

I can’t elaborate further on my hypothesis, except to write that most of us here get it, even though the reason why is a mystery to nearly all (I’ll get on that...if somebody doesn’t beat me to it).

After losing dogs to cancer and learning ways to help them fight it and hopefully avoid it, I’ve learned that the cause of someone’s cancer is not always easy to pinpoint.

Fwiw, here’s a helpful article for those who’ve lost a dog to cancer:

It’s Not Your Fault: Cancer as a Multifactorial Disease

For young and old Americans both, our food has changed significantly and not in a good way.

I’m now a big believer in a “food as medicine” approach to help your body heal itself from whatever ails it now, as well as to proactively avoid health problems, like colon cancer, in the future.

The simplest and often the cheapest way to help yourself feel good and be healthy is to eat a good variety of fresh, whole foods that are as close to the way God makes them as possible, and prepared at home with love by you for yourself and for those you love, including your pets.
