Ukraine has taken a major Russian stronghold today on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Russian forces are hurriedly trying to make a foothold but have been unable to, taking high casualties in the meantime. Ukraine is also starting to conscript another 500,000 soldiers to meet the growing demands and possible lengthening of the war.

Putin’s United Russia Party unanimously endorsed his independent candidacy for Russia’s March presidential election, but a 40 year old woman describing herself as “anti-war” is attempting to challenge him in the election.
Wives and mothers of mobilized Russian men are flooding Russian social media with requests for the war to be ended so their men can come home. The United States and Finland signed an agreement that will eventually lead to US forces being stationed on Russia’s border in Finland.
