I live in a rural are with no services , we barely have electricity. We also have No Cell service where I live, spotty at best in certain locations. I bought a Starlink a year ago, and let me tell you, this thing is GREAT, never a hitch, never a problem it’s just on and always works flawlessly.

It’s certainly not about his lack of “know how”.
It’s about his lack, or more accurately unwillingness, to bribe the right politicians!

Which I guess says a whole lot more than the service one gets from the Biden administration.

Good to know. What kind of bandwidth (up/down) can one normally expect?

Musk’s Starlink is the single greatest thing to happen for folks in rural areas since rural electrification. We struggled for years to make our communications work. The landlines were unmaintained and sometimes so noisy as to be not useable. Eventually a cell tower went in but it was over 5 miles away and for the most part not useable. Then we went to a cellular router (now a Mofi Networks 5500) hooked to a large (4’ diameter) homebuilt parabolic antenna. Finally Starlink arrived and it is like night and day. One thing that many do not realized is that if you have good internet service but lousy or non existent cell service you can use wifi calling to get crystal clear cell phone service. We do this over Starlink. When at home we run the phones on wifi calling and put them in airplane mode so that they will ignore the spotty cell signal.
