I actually expected a short sentence (for the murder of a child) with the current system (and the mother being a person that checked at least 2 boxes, maybe 3, not sure yet).
I am hoping that we still have a chance of saving this country, but every day, our chances are escaping.
I miss the '70s, when, at least in (west) Texas, the law was taken seriously, and the punishment equaled the crime.
That monster should never be allowed out of prison. She murdered her little girl in cold blood. Shame on that miserable excuse for a justice system. Ain’t diversity just grand?
