He’s afraid the “fighting to the last Ukrainian” phrase could be taken too literally for his taste.
Putin has killed / severely injured 4 times as many Russians as he has with Ukrainians:
Approximately +300.000 Russian troops lost, VS 70.000 Ukrainians.
All that on the Ukrainian front...
Putin hoped to take whole of Ukraine in less than 21 days...
