It’s the same kind of social engineering with language that led them to use Anderson Cooper’s derogatory “tea baggers”.
It is an effective tactic. Look at how many people hate Trump because of a specific lie. There are still millions of Americans who think he is a Putin puppet, or he condoned Charlottesville, or he denigrated veterans.
