Perhaps based on this incident , police procedures in dealing with stolen cars will be changed.

There’ll be a lawsuit,and a payout, and then police will be compelled to change how they deal with stolen cars. Perhaps they will not be allowed to approach or pull over a stolen vehicle.

Whatever happens, it will probably be easier for the car thieves to get away with their crime.
