We’ve been living in days of very bad news for a very long time now, and every day it seems to get worse and more intense. Our country — and the world — has become something I never thought I’d live to see. I suppose every generation experiences some of that as they reminisce about the “good old days.” And in retrospect those “good old days” were not as good as we probably remember them, but again I never thought I’d see the day when _____________ (fill in the blank): there are plenty of options to choose from.

We do, but I honestly don’t foresee that happening, and that the next “great awakening” will actually be a demonic counterfeit.

I agree.
Some generation has to be the one to live in the end times, and it’s looking like it falls to us. .
The critical thing is, to make sure people are ready for eternity.
In reality, and by comparison, nothing else matters.
The more I think about it, the more in awe I am of the sacrifice Jesus made to be willing to take on human form from conception to death. He spent all that time growing up and living a life that by comparison to His glory must have been tedium.
And no modern conveniences, walking everywhere. There was non opportunity to rush through things like we do today. I daresay, we’d have trouble slowing down to the speed at which they lived.
