Most of my state’s local newspapers are owned by Gannett. Apparently, USA Today is owned by them. They call the conglomeration the USA Today Network.
Gannett newspapers in my state have shrunk to one or two local news articles. The rest are canned articles and national advertisement. Most have the same articles throughout the state.
The ‘location’ in my town is a vacant building, and I have yet found a way to talk to an employee about advertising a local event. This is not a local paper.
I suspect once 2024 rolls around We will see MANY positive Democrat articles and scathing one about President Trump.
That is the rural venture.
Makes sense: part of an evil scheme! Tnx, IR
Gannett buys and sells all over the place. It’s tuff to keep up.
Looks like nothing has changed @ FR re: Gannett.

Received another letter from Gannett Publications, publisher of USAToday, and several other newspapers. Due to contractual arrangements they have with third-party content providers, they have denied our request to allow posting of excerpts. They will only allow the posting of titles and links.
Please do not post full text or even excerpts from the following Gannett Web sites:

The original list has changed a bunch.
