It seems like our guys are still keeping the Indian Ocean pretty clear of Somali pirates. That whole Mersk Alabama(?) incident pretty much cleaned that up. But this flying krap from Yemen is land based. and we still owe the Yemens a flaming thank you for the USS Cole. Way overdue. I expect the Soddies would help if Slojoe would just give the nod to making a smoking hole out of Yemen?
The Houthis aren't the government of Yemen. They do seem to occupy the western part of Yemen. The SW part of the country is supposed to be nice. Well, nice as compared to the rest of the country. I wouldn't give you a dime per square mile for the lot. The only possible exception would be a frankincense farm. The pricey stuff comes from Yemen.
The Yemeni government isn't much better than the Houthis but at least they don't want to shoot at us (US).
I don't think the Yemeni government would mind us doing some fire suppression if we asked nicely in advance. The Saudis would probably reimburse us for any expenses.
Wanna help me plan an Alpha Strike? I'll bet the AF will want to muscle in with some Bones or B-2s. The more the merrier as far as I'm concerned.
