We love mincemeat! I make meatless mincemeat from scratch, for pies. (Butter replaces the suet that’s in real mincemeat). I often offer to bring it to holiday dinners at my brother’s, but he won’t even try it.
That aunt was a fabulous baker. That crust was always golden and flakey and she had it dusted with a sparkling sugar.
Unfortunately, I am not a skilled baker. I can make decent cakes but others are a lot better at it than I am. :)
