Yes. IVF may be supported by legitiamate fathers and mothers who have some systemic problem(s) preventing natural procreation of a viable embryo, but I say to them, morally, adoption of an existing parentless child is a better solution.

IVF creates many embryos. The tiny human being embryos are graded for “quality”, and all but the higher grades are destroyed outright. The parents can then implant from the remaining embryos, leaving the rest to be either destroyed or frozen.

I spoke to an aquaintance who had one embryo left after successful IVF who was trying to decide what to do with it. They said “I don’t want another child.” It’s so sad that they didn’t realize that they’d already destroyed several of their children, and this was just one more.

I don’t understand how any Christian can think this is a good idea.
