There's a huge difference between the mentality of immigrants 100 years ago and today. All of my ancestors were "right off the boat." All of them were in awe of America. All of them swore a loyalty oath to America and honored it in word and deed. They truly left their loyalties to the "Old Country" behind when they settled into what was once known as the "American way of life."
My paternal grandparents were so adamant about being American that they forbade the speaking of Italian in their home. They loved the US 'til the day they died. They truly were American, in every sense of the word - fine, dignified, God-fearing and hard working family-loving people.
Among today's immigrants, that mentality's not usually the case -they're urged on by leftist and globalist scum to hold on to their old national loyalties and backward cultural ways. Eastern Europeans are among the worst - they insist on bringing their tribal hatreds and grudges with them. Sickening. America used to be about leaving those things behind.
