"I'm schizophrenic and so am I."
Cats are pretty schizophrenic. Maybe it is catching.

Perhaps there is a genetic predisposition to toxoplamosis in some people.

Sure explains a lot of crazy cat women. All this time I thought crazy cat lady disease was toxoplasmosis.
To: dynachrome
A lot of Freepers own cats, and we’re all completely normal, right?
To: dynachrome
So there really is something to that old ‘cat lady’ thing?

BTW...this article merely confirms what we already knew...cats are assholes...
But were they assholes who became schizophrenic, or were they always schizophrenic, and that’s what makes them assholes?

If toxoplasmosis is an issue, we need to improve the technology to a point where you don't touch the litter box when you're cleaning up.
There's a lot of crazy cat ladies out there so there seems to be a correlation.

The link is not with cats but with their parasites.

Or… Do schizophrenics tend to like cats? Correlation dos not mean causation.

It’s from cleaning their litter boxes and still finding your bedroom closet’s carpent stinks of cat pee.

was a fella in our church who had schizophrenia- he was a genius on the organ and piano, always loved listening to him play- but he was really kind of sketchy person- he had dozens of cats- We’d bring over food to him when he needed it, (He wasn’t too good with money and would run out) and he would open the door and you’d get bowled over by the smell- The church however took pretty good care of him-

Cat doors are a good thing. Mine go outside to potty.

Correlation is not causation. I’ve owned cats for 25 years and I’m fine.
At least I think so...

Or people who like cats are inclined to be schizo. Why blame the cats?

Cats don’t cause it. The women don’t need the cats’ help to get that way. The afflicted women are ALREADY that way.

So, allergies predispose one to schizophrenia? Or maybe it is the allergy meds. Cause dehydration.

False connection. A rooster crows and the sun then rises therefore the crowing rooster CAUSES the sun to rise.
