I indulge in ONE cigar on my Birthday each year and it’s usually something ‘sweet & girly’ and not all that expensive in the first place.
It’s been a long time between pings, Martin! ;)
I am a Resp. Therapist..and my good friend is Pulmonologist. We get some weird looks from people we know....when we are burning some gars.........It's a hoot!!
Same here with cigars, but only two or three a year. Macanudos. And during fall through Christmas a pipe inside maybe every other week if I'm building a fire in the den. Nothing finer than the big leather chair, with a dram of bourbon at hand, a bowl of Sweet Killarney or Cavendish, a bowl of peanuts & sesame stick mix, a little music, and the faint sounds of the girlfriend cooking something up in the kitchen.
She loves the sell of the pipe. Cigars, not so much.
Sounds grand....my FRiend.
I buy all my sticks from JR’s, but I HATE the place! However, if you work through their very bad website and look for the discount codes they are still the cheapest available.
Good post—cigarpage is my favorite non-Cuban site.
Cigarplace.biz has good sales from time to time as well.
While I smoked non-Cubans for decades I started buying (by mail, from Europe and Australia) and smoking Cubans a few years back—but the glory days are over for now—they have exploded in price since the end of 2021—production is less than half of what it is and the prices have tripled or quadrupled in just a couple of years.
If anyone has questions on Cuban cigars I will be happy to answer them.
I KNOW. WHERE YOU BEEN, LADY?
For once-a-year, inexpensive sweet smokes may I suggest these?
