Biden is at least nominally Catholic. So IMHO Biden, even in his addled state, would not personally direct the FBI to persecute Catholics. Therefore this seems to be directed by someone else. Rhymes with yomama?

The bulk of Catholics in Freepdom care for neither Biden nor the Pope, and many of them would prefer, with a minority very strongly prefer, the Mass in Latin. Rome is presently waging a war on those who prefer the Mass in Latin, a preference that tends to ally with a number of other “conservative” positions.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Rome would at least tacitly approve of the FBI’s activities.
