Bleh. There are way better things! How about key lime pie, buffalo wings, BLTs, gumbo, clam chowder, and many others? Some of the foods listed here I don’t even find edible. :D
Key Lime Pie is the best, but not all are authentic. My husband grew up in Key West and drove me up and down the Keys trying every restaurant for the good stuff. Only one had it. No whipped cream, nothing but filling made of real key limes, which are different from the others, and a certain crust.
Trader Joe has it in the season. I go there all the time and kids who work there greet me when I walk in with “No it hasn’t come in yet, Barbara”. Or “How many did you buy?.”
