Short sided...it is the other way around. The hamstrings are notoriously, weak in many people, which causes imbalances between each leg and causes issues which posture and tightness of the IT band, which causes improper Gait and knee tracking (the knee cap begins to point left or right, slightly. This coupled with low vitamin D status for too long, weak mud-back muscles, placing a wallet in your back pocket on a daily basis, crossing your legs, too long and pointing your knee towards the center of your car or door, while driving in traffic, is what raises your risk for a knee replacement.

True, however it's quite possible to have weakish quads, and still over use them.

And...

Also, alternate which leg you lead with when you climb the stairs.

I never considered this before, what a good idea. Thanks!
