The “silent generation” used to be 1925-1945 but in recent years I see the numbers 1928 to 1945 a lot.

The GI generation which is about 1901 to 1925 (or 1928 sometimes) is being labelled by Tom Brokaw’s term “greatest generation” now.

The whole naming of generations is actually very new and in many cases....STUPID!

My father was born in 1927 and snuck into fight WWII, so he was definitely the “Great Generation” if not by date, then by accomplishment.
