Not so sure of that, most of the big 1950s and 1960s rock stars were of the Silent Generation, Elvis, Rickey Nelson, Chuck Berry, Little Ricard, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, the Stones, the Byrds, etc.

The smallest EVER generation is THE WAR BABIES, which they are lumped into the "SILENTS" in this article. And the end date is 1946!

And the "SILENT" used to be called "THE GREATEST", which is also a VERY recent renaming.
