Day 648 of the Russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine continues.
The Russian federation continues to wage a war of aggression. Despite significant losses, it does not abandon its plans for the complete occupation of Ukraine. The enemy continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, conducts strikes, and shells both military and civilian targets.
The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.
During the day of December 3, there were 56 combat engagements.
The enemy launched a total of 1 missile strike, 31 air strikes, 24 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Private residential buildings as well as other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
VOLYN and POLISSYA AXIS: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.
SIVERSHCHYNA and SLOBOZHANSHCHYNA AXIS: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of Russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. Around 20 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Volodymyrivka, Hasychivka (Chernihiv oblast), Kozache (Sumy oblast), Hraniv, Budarky, Chuhunivka (Kharkiv oblast).
KUPYANSK AXIS: the enemy conducted assault operations in the vicinity of Synkivka (Kharkiv oblast). Ukrainian defenders repelled 7 attacks in the area. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Fyholivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Tabaivka, Krokhmalne, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).
LYMAN AXIS: the invaders made failed assaults with air support in the area of Serebryanske forestry (Luhansk oblast), where Ukrainian defenders repelled 3 attacks. The invaders launched an air strike in the vicinity of Spirne (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Makiyivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Yampolivka, Torske, Dibrova (Donetsk oblast).
BAKHMUT AXIS: the invaders conducted offensives with air support near Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka and Andriyivka (Donetsk oblast), where Ukrainian defenders repelled 16 attacks. Around 20 settlements, including Minkivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka, Andriyivka, Ozarianivka (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.
AVDIYIVKA AXIS: the invaders made assaults with air support east of Novokalynove, east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove,
Avdiyivka axis, Sjeverne, Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast), to no success. Ukrainian defenders repelled 14 attacks in the area. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 15 settlements, including Novokalynove, Berdychi, Avdiyivka, Tonenke, Netailove, Nevelske (Donetsk oblast).
MARYINKA AXIS: the invaders made failed assaults with air support in the vicinities of Maryinka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast), where Ukrainian defense forces repelled 5 attacks. The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiyivka, Maryinka, Pobjeda, Paraskoviyivka, Katerynivka (Donetsk oblast) were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.
SHAKHTARSKE AXIS: the adversary conducted unsuccessful offensives in the vicinity of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast). Around 10 settlements, including Vuhledar, Vodyane, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.
ZAPORIZHZHIA AXIS: the enemy made 3 attempts to regain lost ground south of Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast), to no success. Also, the invaders conducted unsuccessful offensives near Novopokrovka (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The adversary launched an air strike near Novodarivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast). Around 25 settlements, including Charivne, Novodanylivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove, Kamyanske, Plavni (Zaporizhzhia oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.
KHERSON AXIS: the invaders launched an air strike in the vicinity of Krynky (Kherson oblast). The enemy fired artillery at the settlements of Dudchany, Beryslav, Ivanivka, Sadove, Romashkove (Kherson oblast), as well as the cities of Kherson and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv oblast).
Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold their ground on the left bank of the Dnipro River (Kherson oblast) and inflict fire on the enemy.
During the day of December 3, Ukrainian Air Force launched 2 strikes on air defense systems, 8 strikes on concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment, and 2 strikes on ammunition depots of the occupiers.
Ukrainian missile troops hit 1 heavy multiple rocket flamethrower system, and 1 Pantsir self-propelled anti-aircraft system of the russian invaders.
Also, overnight Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 10 of 12 Shahed-136/131 UAVs.

Two US warships were attacked along with several other multinational cargo ships in the southern Red Sea just hours ago. Some of the cargo ships have suffered damage and the US destroyers were able to shoot down all incoming missiles and drones. The Southern Red Sea is beginning to become a dangerous place for vessels.
Ukraine has been able to inflict high casualties and capture Russian prisoners over the past few days, as Russia still attempts their failed offensive at Avdiivka. In Kherson, Ukrainian troops try to break out of the swamps in fierce fighting.
