In the late 60’s I had 6 cousins, 1 brother and an Uncle who served in Vietnam. There were 3 others including myself who were too young or in High school to serve. One lost his leg and arm usage, two others lost their livers to agent Orange. the other males learned to not trust the government, and raised kids that are fine working citizens. A few sexual deviants, one went to jail a few times, and a TRainwrexual. That is out of about 60 boomer gen, not counting spouses. Grandma had 9 kids, and the WW 2 gen had an average of 6 kids each.

If those blaming the boomers can look at the past as justification for their circumstances, perhaps they may understand that their children/grandchildren may blame them for not fixing it…..and just maybe they will quit the blame game and join with who is left of the boomers to fix it.

Boomers went thru Vietnam, got drafted there. Saw all the government lying, and still supported the massive growth of government. Boomers didn't hold the line on anything. Every chance at the expanse of government into the world Boomers supported. The most vocal supporters of a world police force were boomers.

Selling out America to China, NAFTA, GATT, amnesties for illegals, no child left behind, patriot act, massive deficit spending, medicare plan d, etc etc.

All of the promises of the past, and the death of the future resides with Boomers.

Nobody loves the Republican and Democratic parties more than the old; Boomers will never point their compass to new directions and accept that the past was wrong, and the future of their grandchildren and great grandchildren have been directed to the sirens of more government and less liberty.

1984 was the first time that all boomers could vote in a presidential election, yet people have them running America since the 50s, without thinking of who actually ran the Universities, the newspapers and magazines, Hollywood, the Senate, the Courts, the Congress, the schools, the feminist movement, the ACLU, Television and TV News, the Republican party and the Democrat party, government agencies and regulations, the military, the cities, corporations and law firms, and on and on.
