It’s only rock ‘n’ roll but someone will like it.

A portrait of legendary Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger by celebrated pop artist Andy Warhol will hit the auction block next week in Toronto.

The colour screenprint, titled Mick Jagger and signed by the singer and Warhol, comes from a private collection in Ontario and carries an auction estimate of $135,000-$175,000, according to Canadian auctioneer Cowley Abbott.

Say what you will but I suspect it will go for a lot more than the estimated price.

If I had loads of money I’d buy it for my brother. And yes, it’s going to sell for a lot more!

It’s a nice Warhol. He knew how to capture a likeness for sure.

Student of the London School of Economics makes good.

He did not graduate but one cannot blame him dropping out to become one of the major rock stars of the 20th Century.

Keith Moon’s wish came true...he dies before he got old. Ditto Brian Jones. But Jagger’s best work was 1964-1971.
