We have a 10 YO, 80 lb Rotten Shepherd, more Rott than Shep. She was brought home by my son off the street, nine years ago. We had her spayed soon after. She was a handful like any dog that size and weight, but mellowed with age.
She's great around the grandkids, but that doesn't mean I don't keep an eye on her. I rough house with her on occasion, and she can draw blood when it gets too rambunctious.
I grew up around my sister and her being a dog Groomer brought All kinds with all kinds of Trouble ! .
You just can’t trust them.

I haven’t had pets.
She's the only dog we've had since moving here 30 years ago. Not sure if we'll get another one. I'm still working, will be 70 next year, would like to work another few years, as long as I can hack it.
I worked more OT this year than I ever did at a CPA firm. August & September were all 60+ hour weeks. My company has 150+ partnerships, none of them are easy. Would like to get my 3 grandkids' college funds going.
Retired 2 yrs here and I’ve got lazy but then again I’m Retired!

Life is a winding road.
I have an older Heeler dog. We were walking in the park, 100 yards from anyone else. We were walking around a field that holds two soccer fields. A school day, no kids near and only a homeless guy in a Ford Bronco with two pits inside. His windows were cracked about a foot. As we walked away from his location, his female pit squeezed through that window and went on a dead run at my dog. The owner was behind her trying to catch up. My dog had properly assessed the situation, and headed the other direction at the speed that always surprised me. When the female caught my boy, it could hardly breathe. My boy Rowdy was panting, but keeping his nose pointed at the pit. The guy running was almost dead, and I was laughing. I could have told both of them that my dog could run down a horse if told to, and be happy about it. 3 years later, he couldn’t run that far or fast, I would have to pull out the equalizer and kill me a dog. Pits, crazy Mo fo’s.
