I snipped this 10 minute talk by Mike Johnson from another video that was much much longer....Mr Speaker remember how we arrived here. When when the New York Post reported the existence of the hunter Biden laptop. Now Secretary of State Anthony Blinkin organized a group of 51 former intelligence officials to claim the laptop was Russian disinformation. Social media accounts were banned from sharing the story and individuals who believed it were labeled Russian assets and conspiracy theorist. We now know that Not only was the laptop not Russian disinformation of course it was known previously to the Intel community....
(advocating that the impeachment inquiry move forward due to the accumulating mountain of evidence of corruption and obvious lies by biden along with his political allies... mentioning specific dollar amounts received by the biden family...)
Why is he addressing “Mr.Speaker” when he’s the Speaker?
> Why is he addressing “Mr.Speaker” when he’s the Speaker?
possibly because of “pro teempore” rules governing the speakership while the House is in session?
from:
“Presiding officer of the House of Representatives...
The speaker of the House’s duties as presiding officer of the House, include administering the oath of office to members, calling the House to order, preserving order and decorum within the House chamber and galleries, recognizing members to speak on the House floor, and making rulings about House procedures... The speaker usually delegates some of these administrative duties to other members of the majority party, such as acting as speaker pro tempore and leading House legislative sessions.”
Well said, Mike.
People magazine is naming the Speaker "The Sexiest Man Alive."
Because he made this speech while KM was still speaker.
