FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - One Kia owner got so fed up after his car was stolen he decided to dump the vehicle off at the dealership where he bought it and walk four hours back home.

On Monday, Behrouz Alimoradi said someone stole his Kia. The incident happened in Federal Way.

Alimoradi said police found the car. But as it sat parked in the driveway, he says someone came back and smashed out all the windows.

"I’m tired, you know. I swear I’m tired about this car," he said.

Alimoradi says in two years, he has dealt with four different incidents involving this car. He says he’s paid thousands of dollars out of his own pocket to get the vehicle repaired, but this most recent incident is the last straw.

"This situation is too much bad. I don’t want it," he said.

Alimoradi says he was so upset with the situation that he dropped his Kia off at the dealership and walked about four hours back home.

It’s getting worse. I’m seeing so many homeless camps popping up in Tacoma and graffiti has exploded everywhere. Sad how this state has declined so much in 20 years.

Kia fixed this problem over a year ago...
If he had stopped at the dealer service they would have done it for free.

That was a really biased article blaming all car thefts by implication on Kias...

Did Kia support Trump or some other “sin”?
How many cars get stolen a month and what kinds?

Something fishy here, IMO about the great KIA smear.
Maybe they are kicking Obama’s GM a$$

Tell Her to go to South Texas and cross the Rio Grande River from Mexico into Texas. She will just get in line and get all kinds of “free” stuff: Cellphone, $4000.00 pocket money, a Car, Voter Card, Housing Voucher and relocated to the City/State of choice.

“Federal Way is by far the worst suburb of Seattle-Tacoma”
I think Kent/Auburn may be worse.
In Seattle White city and Beacon hill.
Tacoma would be Hill top.

Actually the problem is these cars do have keys. They lack any other anti theft device.

What's to stop the owner simply padlocking the steering wheel? What's to prevent the owner from simply chaining the outside door handles?

Maybe he needs to move out of his sh***y neighborhood

Maybe he need to start voting "defund-the-police" Democrat trash out of office!

(Yeah, I know: He might already be trying that.)

I work with two people who had their Hyundai’s stolen because of this same issue.

Tech fail. Like usual.

My coworker had her Hyundai stolen. A week after getting it returned to her and having this glitch repaired from the dealer it was broken in to because someone tried to steal it thinking it was vulnerable.

Kia and Hyundai should both be sued.

Why? Are they the ones stealing the cars? What laws have they broken?

I’m heading to my dealer today to get the problem resolved. The thefts of Hyundai’s and Kia’s has dropped a lot lately, probably due to the kids being back in school.

Meanwhile, with the supply chain issues, things like car windows are almost impossible to find. My car window was broken when my car was stolen and because insurance companies are only picking up one month of rental car expenses, I was liable for the rest. I got hit with over 1500 dollars in charges from the rental car place that the collision place said they would pick up. Did they? Of course not.

It would have been cheaper to just abandon the car. Oh, 2013 and 2014 Hyundai owner.

“Maybe he needs to move out of his sh***y neighborhood”

Has nothing to do with neighborhood. Where I live there were numerous Kia’s and Hyundai’s stolen. Kids learned how to jailbreak the cars from a TikTok video and this summer went on an auto theft rampage. Kids broke into the cars, took them for joyrides and left them usually in fast food parking lots.

Meanwhile many owners, such as myself hoped the police wouldn’t find the car so we could collect on the insurance. Problem was cars were found, we had to eat the 500 deductible and rent cars until parts could be found to fix the cars. My ignition was fixed in three days. It took almost two months to get the auto glass replaced. Collision place found my glass on ebay.

“She had crummy insurance”

More like she bought liability only and not comprehensive. She is a crummy owner.

I just looked up how freaking easy it is to steal a Kia. Pop the plastic cover off the steering wheel area and use a USB stick to simply turn the ignition to run. Wow. Stupid simple.
