Calvin and Hobbes was the best comic, IMO.
It was like Sandy Koufax, a phenomenal 10 years. Peanuts tailed off at the end, but a phenomenal 50 year run from one man. Watterson’s cartooning skills are unsurpassed. I loved when he dabbled into soap opera strips and fantasy/scifi with spaceman Spiff.
