You can be the “top” but not the “bottom” and still be good with the moon god.

Exactly. It's been a while since I read the Koran and some of the hadiths (shortly after 9/11), but IIRC the situation about treating captured men like eunuchs went like this. While Muhammad and his terrorists were away doing what terrorists do, his men pointed out to him that it had been a while since they were back home with their wives. So they asked Muhammad if they could rape the captured women. Muhammad replied that it was fine in Allah's eyes as long as the women weren't Muslim, they weren't married to a Muslim, they were old enough to have started menstruating, and the Muslim man doing the raping "right hand possessed her" (I took that to mean that the Muslim man captured her or bought her -- she was his slave not someone else's slave).

Then at another time the terrorists were "lonely" and asked Muhammad if they could treat the captured men as eunuchs (sodomize them). Again Muhammad said they could as long as the captured men weren't Muslim, the one doing the raping "right hand possessed" the captured man, and the Muslim was aggressive not passive (in modern gay lingo I'm sure that meant the Muslim had to be top, not bottom). Note that in the case of raping men, there was no minimum age requirement like with raping women.
