Unless they’re from Germany. lol I completely forgot about these guys until I saw “The King’s Man”!
This is when they were at the top of their game. So many of this group have left or been replaced that it’s just not the same anymore. Sergey Kasparin was by far the most talented and when he left, I stopped listening to them.
Boney M was a German band (at least German-based). They were huge there when I moved there in 1978.

I saw that choir playing Toronto in the old stadium that was sorta like BMO Field but bigger. They were Soviets, and everyone even then knew that the Soviets had nothing to do with Russia.
